so, I finally got the guts to draw and not quit. after going to galveston, and swimming, adn after my mom dropped my spetchbook in a puddle of water on the way back, I was able to use the remainder pages, which ironically, only the used pages got wet.
I did alot of page wasting to get to this. I almsot gave up. but kept going, and am satisfied, that I even got as far as to inking it. and I'm coloring it with color pencils as I submit this. so look out for that. I haven't touched color pencils in a while, but I am scared to color digitally right now.
BUT if n e one wants to color this. feel free. just send me a link to the finished deal. or show me on AIM. my aim is " pope in a box216 " for those that want it. I can get a bigger resolution of you guys want it. just ask me for it. thought either aim or on email. my email is ramos.osciel@gmail.com
lol. look at me being all proffesional. but I really want someone to color this, only one person has colored my work. I want to see what people do to it. color choices are up to you guys.
I like it, The design on the dress is curious but i cna't say where i've seen somehting like it before. either way it's awesome.
I'll take a stab at colouring it if you want! (I'm not the worlds best but I'm not the worst either). Could you send the higher res file to lost.luck@gmail.com ?

How'd you get the lineart so clean? Some tips'd be nice, because no one ever gave me tips through Photoshop... then again, I never looked for 'em, either...

no photoshop action. just good ol' ink. but I made light marks, I usually make dark pencil marks, but this time I drew lighter, then inked slowly, so I didn't have broken lines. I used on of those inky pens with the thin metal tips( mine is off brand, or something, all it says is " HERCULES" I probly found it on the floor). and by inking slowly it made nice lines. but that's it. I was jsut experimenting adn I guess it came out good.
This is lovely, can't wait to see the coloured version! I especially like the patterns you have on her dress & gloves. If I have time I will try & colour this as well!
It doesn't look like you fell too far behind after taking a long break. I know someone else already said this, but the only real problem is the way you have the hips and legs turned completely to the opposite side. I think they should be comming more towards us instead of to the side. I like how you tried to make a really interesting line of action and I think it'll work out if you have a way of going back and fixing that.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Merry Christmas to you out there but don't forget: we are only guests here and so...listen to my favourite words... and look at all these wonderful pieces of art
